OBJECTIVES: Based on the results of randomized clinical trials, bevacizumab plus chemotherapy is currently recommended as first­line treatment for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC). However, scant real­world data are available about effectiveness of bevacizumab­containing therapy used in patients with mCRC in Italy.
